Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce Launches Business News Web Log on cvillechamber.com
(Charlottesville, Virginia - March 12) The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce today announced the launching of its new business news web log, "Business Today," on the Chamber's web site, cvillechamber.com. The "Business Today" web log, or "BLOG," as they are commonly known, will allow the Chamber to publish member enterprise news immediately, as it is received. This will raise awareness and visibility of the activities of Chamber member enterprises, and add value to the Chamber's web site, cvillechamber.com.
"Over the course of the past couple years, as we have undergone our Chamber's 21st Century Strategic Initiative, our members have often requested more and better ways to get their business news noticed," said Ivo Romenesko, President of Appraisal Group Inc., who serves as 2004 Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors. "Our new web log gives immediate access to our member business news -- to the full Internet audience and more importantly to the 13,000+ visitors utilizing our Chamber's site on a monthly basis."
Enterprise members of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to submit their business news on a regular basis to the Chamber, either via email at larry@cvillechamber.com or fax, 434.295.3144. Members of the media are encouraged to use the Chamber's "Business Today" web log as a resource for area business news. The Chamber's news log was developed utilizing Internet based technology from "Blogger.com."
Along with the new "Business Today" web log, the Chamber will continue to produce its regular schedule of business publications: "Chamber Comments," our Chamber's bi-monthly newsletter, and "Chamber Bits," our weekly email e-briefing on business news and business happenings.
