Important Notice about Leadership Charlottesville 2020-2021
After much consideration and continuous monitoring of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chamber Board of Directors and Chamber President have made the tough decision to cancel the Leadership Charlottesville 2020-2021 program year. While we were hoping we’d be able to safely host larger in-person gatherings by the fall, we’ve determined the risk is too great at this time. The safety of our participants is our number one concern.
As always, we are tremendously appreciative of the support you have shown and continue to show to the Chamber and its Leadership Charlottesville program. You are the reason we’ve become and remain a signature member-service, community-building program. We look forward to serving you next year.
How It Works: Leadership Charlottesville (LC) is an 8-month tuition-based program held September through April and consists of weekly and monthly sessions built around a curriculum of community issues.
Community Issues… Community Solutions: As part of the Leadership Charlottesville program, class members work in teams for the second half of the program to come up with viable solutions to various community issues.
Who Participates: Leadership Charlottesville participants include senior level executives, nonprofit executives and staff, entrepreneurs, local government employees, community leaders, retirees, trailing spouses, activists, young professionals and more. If you are an existing or emerging leader with a desire to become more involved in your community, then this program is for you!
IMPORTANT: A one page letter of recommendation must be submitted with your application. If you are representing a sponsoring employer, the letter of recommendation must come from your supervisor or someone in management at your organization.
