How It Works: Leadership Charlottesville (LC) is an 8-month tuition-based program held September through April and consists of weekly and monthly sessions built around a curriculum of community issues.
Community Issues… Community Solutions: As part of the Leadership Charlottesville program, class members work in teams for the second half of the program to come up with viable solutions to various community issues.
Who Participates: Leadership Charlottesville participants include senior level executives, nonprofit executives and staff, entrepreneurs/solopreneurs, local government employees, community leaders, retirees, trailing spouses, activists, young professionals and more. If you are an existing or emerging leader with a desire to become more involved in your community, then this program is for you!
2019 Application Deadlines and Tuition
Early Bird: April 1– April 30, 2019; Tuition: $1100 member; $1400 nonmember
Regular: May 1 – June 21, 2019; Tuition: $1300 member; $1600 nonmember
IMPORTANT: A one page letter of recommendation must be submitted with your application. If you are representing a sponsoring employer, the letter of recommendation must come from your supervisor or someone in management at your organization. Please email your letter of recommendation, along with a headshot, to Andrea Copeland-Whitsett by the application deadline.
