AiPBN Discusses Protecting Elders from Abuse

AiPBN Feb 2020

February meeting recap by Aging in Place Business Network Chair Angela Keating

Pam Dumas of the Albemarle County Adult Protective Services gave a very educational presentation on abuse and neglect. APS has definitely got a tough job, and it was very eye opening to hear some of the numbers. It was also great that she outlined clearly what APS can or cannot do.

Malina Rivers of Aseracare Hospice gave a wonderful Member Spotlight presentation. She not only thoroughly explained what hospice is and is not, but she also talked about the ways that Aseracare differentiates themselves from other hospices. Malina has been in the hospice industry for many years and is incredibly knowledgeable. One of the most exciting things they offer is free virtual dementia tours that can be done wherever they are needed!

Join AiPBN for an all-networking meeting on March 6.
