Chamber Volunteers Provide Community Guidebook for NGIC Personnel

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce Defense Affairs Committee (DAC) has completed a “Welcome to the Community” document for the National Ground Intelligence Center at Rivanna Station.

Incoming military and civilian members of the Command will receive the welcome document as they prepare to relocate to the Charlottesville area. The document, which replaced an outdated document previously in use, was provided in electronic form to the Command Sergeant Major and the HHC Commander.

The updated document is broad in scope and aims to help new personnel settle into the community. Information ranges from historical sites and recreation to practical concerns like health care, real estate and transit.

Volunteers Gary LeFeuvre of Nest Furnished Living, Donald Giannangeli of Edward Jones and Jacquelyn Nasca of Wilkinson Wealth Management & Investment Advisory Services worked together over the past six months to ensure a relevant, information-packed document. DAC Program Manager COL (Ret) Lettie Bien provided guidance for the project. Ryan Litts of Ryan Litts Creative designed the document.

“It was an honor and privilege for those of us that worked on this new welcome package for NGIC,” said LeFeuvre. “Our hope is that it will help their servicemembers, employees and families feel at home as they relocate and settle into the Charlottesville region.”

The welcome document will be customized and provided to the other military units in the Central Virginia area.

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce advocates, convenes and engages to strengthen business in the greater Charlottesville Region.
