Best in Business Awards Will Honor Local Business Leaders

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce today announced that nominations are now open for the Chamber’s 2023 Best in Business Awards, recognizing local business leaders who make a positive impact in our community.

“The Chamber’s annual awards have long been considered one of the highest business honors in our region,” said Chamber President & CEO Natalie Masri. “In 2023, we are casting a wider net for nominations from the community, and we look forward to building on the tradition of recognizing our area’s best in business.”

Anyone may submit nominations online at www.CvilleChamber.com/23awards for the Chamber’s three signature awards:

  • The Chamber Business Leader of the Year Award honors an individual, past or present, who has shown extraordinary leadership in our Greater Charlottesville region through professional practice and community service.
  • The Christopher Lee Small Business Person of the Year Award celebrates an outstanding small business owner for significant impact in their business and the community.
  • The Upstanding Award recognizes a local business or organization for best practices in responsible business.

Nominations are open to the public through Thursday, October 12. Nominees will then be invited to send in a finalist submission detailing their qualifications for the award. A panel of business leaders will evaluate the submissions and select the 2023 award recipients.

Awardees will be honored on November 30 at The Forum Hotel during the 2023 Best in Business Awards – Celebrating 110 Years of Excellence. Tickets to the event will be available starting in October.
