Minority Business Alliance Hosts “A Black & White Affair”
The Chamber Minority Business Alliance (MBA) hosted a capacity crowd at the Holiday Inn on September 15, 2023, for a stylish evening of dinner, dancing and celebration.
Antwon Brinson of Culinary Concepts AB and Sabrina Feggans of Beyond Fitness with Sabrina accepted 2023 John F. Bell Vanguard Awards.
Eight local businesses received a total of $40,000 in Minority Enterprise Grants through a partnership between MBA and the United Way of Greater Charlottesville:

- Cavalier Barbershop – Eric Massie
- Eudamonia – Courtney J. Brown
- Justified by Netta – Johnetta Murray
- Khadija’s Kitchen – Khadija Hemmati
- Loyal Beyond Beauty – Shalice Brown
- Rita’s Bright Beginnings – Karita Burrill
Proceeds from the Black & White Affair will go toward the MBA Endurance Fund and other programs hosted by the Alliance to support and promote minority-owned businesses and professionals.
