Chamber Abroad: From Italian Charm to Spanish Sun
Ciao! Our Chamber recently took a group of 18 travelers to the captivating regions of Tuscany and Rome, Italy. This inaugural trip marked an exciting milestone for our new Chamber Abroad program, which we officially rolled out at our first State of the Chamber membership meeting in April 2024.
From the artistic heart of Florence and the medieval charm of Siena to the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa and the ancient wonders of Rome, we immersed ourselves in Italy's rich tapestry of culture and history. We also explored the enchanting walled city of Lucca, the picturesque towers of San Gimignano, savored the flavors of the Chianti region, and enjoyed the breathtaking coastal views of Cinque Terre and the relaxing atmosphere of Montecatini. Who says doing business can’t be fun?
Beyond these stunning sights (and our slight overconsumption of Gelato
), the trip fostered a strong sense of community, filled with laughter, shared discoveries, and the joy of experiencing a new culture together with fellow chamber members and their families and friends.
Our first Chamber Abroad trip to Tuscany was made even more special by the wonderfully diverse group of members who joined us. It was truly a reflection of our inclusive Chamber network, encompassing a broad spectrum of ages, races, actively employed and retired, young and seasoned professionals, new and longtime members, and representatives from corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial sectors. We were especially thrilled to have two families joining us, adding an intergenerational element to the journey. Thank you to every traveler for contributing to the success of our Tuscany trip!
Our Italian adventure has paved the way for our second Chamber Abroad adventure: Costa del Sol, Spain. The travel dates are March 17 through March 25, 2026. Imagine yourself basking in the Spanish sunshine, exploring beautiful coastal towns, and indulging in the vibrant culture of southern Spain alongside another fun group of chamber members.
