Andrea Copeland, President & CEO

Andrea’s journey with the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce is a full-circle story of leadership and service. She began in 2007 as a volunteer with the Chamber’s Ambassador Corps, building relationships with members, many of whom she remains connected to today.

In 2012, Andrea joined the Chamber staff as Director of Member Education Services, bringing more than 15 years of experience across preschool, public, and higher education. She also led the Chamber’s signature program, Leadership Charlottesville, where she helped to shape, connect, and engage civic leaders across the Greater Charlottesville community.

Her impact continued to grow as she served as Committee Engagement Director and later Chief Operating Officer before being named President & CEO in May 2025—making history in the organization’s 113-year history. Today, she leads the Chamber as a convener, catalyst, and champion for regional economic growth.

Andrea has completed prestigious leadership programs including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM) and Association of Chamber of Commerce Executive’s Certificate in Chamber Management (CCM). In 2025, she was honored as a Virginia Business Women in Leadership Award recipient.

Through her many years of community work with Positive Channels and CPA-TV, Andrea hosted multiple television programs, including the award-winning talk show Speaking with Andrea, amplifying local voices and stories.

A graduate of Piedmont Virginia Community College and Old Dominion University, Andrea remains deeply rooted in her community, serving as a mentor, contributing to local boards, and bringing holiday joy each year as the longtime emcee of the City of Charlottesville’s Grand Illumination.
