What does your organization do?
We help individuals and businesses strengthen their voice the Charlottesville community while fostering connections among members who want to strengthen their network. Holistically, we help businesses big or small thrive in the Charlottesville community while providing a platform for them to leverage their future success, without excluding rising professionals of all ages.
What do you like about being part of the Chamber?
I love the opportunity to establish a professional network of like-minded peers while helping others like me get the most out of the Chamber of Commerce!
What is unique about your organization and the work you do in our community?
We are like no other entity considering we're networked with powerful players in the Charlottesville community.
What was your first job?
Pizza delivery during graduate school.
How did you choose the field you're in?
I found it aligns with my current work, which is fostering real like connections that can lead to collaborations in the Charlottesville area.
Who or what has inspired you most in your career?
I'm inspired by being a leader.
What is your most memorable experience in your career?
Besides working for the Chamber, mine is working for an international record label.
What is your greatest skill that you have learned or developed in your career?
Besides marketing and business analytics, I'd say, "don't be shy to spearhead your idea."
What's your favorite thing about the Charlottesville area?
Learning how rich we are in the nonprofit industry reflects how willing we are to help others.
What is one of your favorite local businesses, and why?
Light House Studio, their programs for the art community are as necessary as they are engaging.
How do you like to spend your days off?
Working out, producing music, connecting with friends, and cherishing family.
What animal would you be and why?
A cheetah because I move too fast at times.
What is your favorite quote or piece of advice?
Every idea is dumb until it works, so don't be afraid to be smart.
Is there anything that you feel Charlottesville is missing? Spark ideas for others!
We need to bring back the fashion square mall experience.
What else would you like to tell us about yourself and your work?
Besides working for the Chamber, I can be recognized as a songwriter, stage performer, music producer, graphic designer, and E-A-G-L-E-S fan!
