The Charlottesville Chamber’s affinity groups connect members through shared interests, industry focus, and professional goals. These volunteer-led groups create opportunities to network, learn, and contribute to the success of our regional business community.
Many of the Chamber’s most impactful initiatives are driven by affinity groups. They are large enough to pursue meaningful projects while remaining agile and responsive to emerging needs. Their expertise helps advance the Chamber’s strategic plan and strengthen our diverse business environment.
Meetings are free for all Chamber members, and guests are welcome to attend—please see each group’s page for participation guidelines. Each affinity group is guided by a volunteer leadership committee, with leadership roles available to Chamber members in good standing.

Business Women's Round Table
The Business Women’s Round Table (BWRT) has brought together women professionals since 2004 to honor, engage, and inspire one another, strengthening their leadership presence while driving business and community growth in the Charlottesville region. Members meet monthly to connect, share insights, and support women in advancing their careers and impact.
Charlottesville Area Development Round Table
The Charlottesville Area Development Round Table (CADRe) brings together real estate, economic development, and community leaders to collaborate on policies and strategies that shape the region’s growth. Members meet several times a year to discuss current development initiatives, share insights, and explore solutions that drive sustainable progress in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
Minority Business Alliance
The Minority Business Alliance (MBA) is dedicated to supporting, promoting, and connecting minority-owned businesses in the Charlottesville region. By leveraging partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits, members work to expand community wealth and drive economic opportunity through regular meetings and collaborative initiatives.
Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee  helps the Chamber stay informed and engaged on issues affecting Charlottesville and Albemarle County businesses. Serving as a legislative and regulatory think tank, the committee reviews policies, provides guidance to the Chamber Board, and helps shape advocacy efforts—ensuring the Chamber’s voice is heard on matters that impact the local business community.
Rising Professionals
The Rising Professionals connects young professionals and those in career transitions through networking, business development, and community engagement. Members meet monthly for coffee networking and quarterly for special events, building relationships that foster career growth and local impact.
