A Day at the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA
The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA (CASPCA) has been a valued Chamber member since February 2025. Recently, our team had the privilege of visiting this incredible organization to learn more about their mission and the impact they're making in our community.

Two members of our Chamber staff, Jenna Huber, Marketing and Events Coordinator and Zach Hall, Membership Coordinator, spent a lively morning at the CASPCA facility. They were warmly welcomed by Lauren Thomas, Events and Fundraising Manager, who gave them an inside look at the organization's day-to-day operations and the compassionate care they provide to animals in need.
The visit wasn't just about learning—it was about building relationships. As Lauren shared, "My favorite thing about the chamber is getting to meet and interact with new folks who are invested in our community. It's great to connect with like-minded individuals who I can support, and who might be able to support CASPCA!"
Since joining the Chamber, CASPCA has been an active participant in networking and professional development opportunities. Lauren has attended the Business Women's Round Table, Commerce & Coffee, and Rising Professionals' Coffee Networking, demonstrating the organization's commitment to building connections within the Charlottesville business community. These networking opportunities help Lauren and CASPCA build a web of support for the animals in their care.
Meet Your New Best Friends: Adoption Opportunities
During the visit, our team had the chance to meet two very special residents looking for their forever homes. The shelter is open daily from 12-6pm, making it easy to stop by and meet these wonderful animals.
