Leaders Lab of Greater Charlottesville

Thanks for your interest in the Leaders Lab! We will announce updates to our leadership programming this summer, including a new timeline for program applications. Look for details in the Chamber newsletter or sign up here for updates by email.

The Leaders Lab of Greater Charlottesville is a leadership training program for everyone who wants to be great at collaboration! Current and emerging leaders practice community problem-solving and learn first-hand how people are working together on local issues.

Our goal is to build our community’s leadership capacity for positive change by growing individual leadership skills, building community networks, and inspiring action. We work on leading from our values, consensus building, ethical decision making, principled negotiation, equitable collaboration, cultural competence, self-awareness and much more.

Primary Program Elements

Participants will self-assess and build skills in five key leadership competencies: collaboration, self-awareness, cultural competence, conflict management and adaptability.

Each session includes a community case study on local work in areas such as homelessness, food and health access, racial equity, education and entrepreneurship.
